My firewall is blocking the download of the WinPenPack 3.5.1 ZIP download. It seems there is some sort of Virus - or something that looks like a virus - in the file. It downloads 10640 KB (the file size is10,894,920 bytes to be exact). I've tried switching mirrors but that hasn't helped either. Does anybody have any ideas????

Hi ynathan, welcome in this forum

wich firewall are You using?
It has a strange behaviour. We tested all packages with different antivirus programs (for exemple I use a licensed kaspersky antivirus shield) and we never had problems with zip downloads.
Yours is the first issue!
So, I'm quite sure it is a "false alarm" or "false positive" claimed by Your firewall.
If You want to download a zipped winpenpack suite You can try disabling your firewall for a while.
Otherwise, You can try to download the same suite in exe format (files inside the suite are exactly the same, the exe version exist only to help dummies during "istallation" procedure).

Please let us know if this procedure solves Your problem.

BTW, Happy new Year.

I managed to grab the error message when attempting to download WinPenPack 3.5.2 from the WinPenPack link at SourceForge:

This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: Autoit.CD (Trojan)

No one else had this issue in the past! (maybe neither in the future...)
Did You try to download it from another PC or with a different ISP or with a different intranet protection?

This behaviour is very strange!!

I'm very sorry, but IMHO, the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service You use is revealing a false positive.

Nobody has put in evidence Your same issue.

It is now 3 months later & I still can't download the file! It is always stopping at 32.7 MG. At this point, the Mozilla Firefox Downloader hangs & doesn't give me any messages why.

In the meanwhile my drive died & now I need the WinPenPack 2GB desperately for my new drive.

Could someone please help me

Thank You

Hi ynathan,
could I suggest you to use indeed the DownThemAll! Firefox plugin? You can find it here: -Link-
For my experience, it rocks and I never loose a single download...
Best Regards

Thanks for the idea, but it didn't work. Sometimes the page was blocked & sometimes it stopped at 32.7 meg of download.

Is there an FTP site that I can access, or could it be sent to me some other way??

Thanks again
