Dear winPenPack,

I have been successfully using the X-GnuCash 2.3.5 rev 8 launcher successfully until the last few day with GnuCash alpha nightly build 2.3.12 r19198 (http://code.gnucash.org/builds/)

However, there has been a change or two in the last few days to the latest builds (including the latest r19213), and the rev 8 X-GnuCash launcher no longer works.

I think that there has been some changes to the environment/path variables. These environment variables can now be easily seen in the text file C:\Program Files\gnucash\etc\gnucash\environment. I am running Vista.

Can someone have a look at this please? I am enjoying the 2.3.xxx alpha nightly builds very much. GnuCash continues to be quite stable and usable - but you should ensure you have good backups before using the alpha nightly builds. It should not be too much longer before 2.4 is released.

Hi kim.wood,
at this moment, we can release the update to the 2.3.12 unstable version, and start to work to the new 2.3.13 keeping in mind your observations.

Well done. I am so glad that you have been able to get GnuCash 2.3.14 working. I have tried it out with the latest Windows nightly build r19249, and it works perfectly. Stable GnuCash 2.4.0 is not too far away, and we are now well positioned to be able to release the new stable version when it comes out. You are doing fantastic work with this. I know that GnuCash is not a simple launcher project! Thanks again.
