To solve this problem, it is necessary, in the section [RunAfter] of the file X-Firefox.ini add the following line: DirRemove=@AppDataDir@\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions [ Edited Thu 24 Jan 2013 - 16:34 ]

My first question is, if this is the meaning of the option "e"? Means the removal of empty folders, that the folder Mozilla itself must be empty, i.e. the folder Mozilla doesn't contain any subfolders (first case)? And does this imply also the case, if the folder Mozilla contains some subfolders, which then must be all empty, so that the above code can be executed (second case)?

On one hand the character "@" is used and on the other the character "$". Is there a reason for this decision or could not use instead of $LocalAppData$ simply @LocalAppData@?
