1. Quando è possibile richiedere una portabilizzazione: nell'ottica dello sviluppo e della diffusione del Software Libero portabile, winPenPack rivolge principalmente il proprio interesse verso il software rilasciato sotto le licenze open source (GPL, LGPL, MPL, MIT, etc..), ed opera eccezionalmente su software Freeware, su consenso degli autori, ad esclusiva discrezione del Team di sviluppo. Poiché per licenza non sono consentite modifiche sui software Freeware, le richieste devono riguardare esclusivamente programmi rilasciati sotto licenza open source, in caso contrario verranno spostate d'ufficio nella sezione "Software NON portabilizzabili".
   
   
   
2. Launcher di programmi Freeware: non è consentito inserire nelle discussioni del Forum codice .ini per portabilizzare programmi Freeware tramite X-Launcher, nè tantomento è ammesso l'inserimento di launcher completi o associati ai programmi stessi.
   
   
   
3. Casi particolari: in caso di richieste relative a programmi Freeware ritenuti particolarmente significativi, il winPenPack Team si occuperà di inviare specifica richiesta all'autore del programma in questione, al fine di ottenere l'autorizzazione alla sua portabilizzazione. In questo caso il codice per il programma Freeware e le istruzioni su come portatilizzarlo saranno pubblicate. In alcuni casi il launcher verrà rilasciato nell'apposita sezione di download "X-Software launcher".
   
   
   
4. Ricerca: prima di richiedere la portabilizzazione di un software è necessario effettuare una ricerca nel sito per verificare che la richiesta non sia già stata effettuata o la portabilizzazione realizzata.
   
   
   
5. Verifica della portatilità (facoltativa): al fine di supportare il Team, gli utenti esperti possono verificare la portatilità delle applicazioni oggetto di richiesta, seguendo queste indicazioni (punto 3).
   
   
   
6. Programmi in .Net: è ammessa la richiesta di portabilizzazione di programmi che richiedono .Net Framework.
   
   
   
7. Programmi in Java: è ammessa la richiesta di portabilizzazione di programmi che richiedono Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
   
   
   
8. Richiesta: deve essere effettuata in modo identico alla segnalazione di una "Nuova proposta" al fine di fornire il maggior numero possibile di informazioni sul programma, in particolar modo relativamente alla licenza sotto la quale questo viene rilasciato. La richiesta va fatta nella sezione "Richieste di portabilizzazione" aprendo una discussione per ciascun programma ed utilizzando lo schema seguente:

   Descrizione: descrizione in Italiano o in Inglese ed eventuale indicazione della fonte dalla quale è stata attinta. Nota: l'indicazione della fonte è obbligatoria se la descrizione non è frutto di elaborazione propria; se riportata esattamente dal sito del produttore, è sufficiente aggiungere "(descrizione riportata dal sito dell'autore)".

   Versione: versione del software
   Licenza: Freeware, Freeware for non commercial use, GNU General Public License, etc..

1. When it is allowed to ask a portabilization: winPenPack interest, in the viewpoint of development and diffusion of free portable software, aims primarily open source software (GPL, LGPL, MPL, MIT, etc..), and, in particular cases, acts also on Freeware programs, protabilized upon respective authors authorization (to exclusive discretion of development Team). Since for licence reasons changes on Freeware software are not allowed, the request must regard exclusively programs released under open source licences , otherwise it will be moved to "Programs that CAN'T be made portable" forum section.
   
   
   
2. Launchers for Freeware programs: it is not allowed to instert the .ini code of X-Launcher to portabilize Freeware programs in forum threads, neither is admitted to attach complete launchers with or without an associated Freeware program.
   
   
   
3. Particular cases: if the request concerns Freeware programs considered particularly significant, the winPenPack Team will send a specific request to its author, in order to obtain approval for portabilization. In this case, the code for the Freeware program and instructions on how portabilize it will be published. In some cases, the launcher will be released in "X-Software launchers"download section.
   
   
   
4. Search : before submitting each request it is necessary to search in web site in order to verify if it has been already done or if the program has been already made portable.
   
   
   
5. Portability check (optional for requests): to support the development Team, expert users can verify the portability of requested applications, following these indications (point 3).
   
   
   
6. Programs that require .Net: it is allowed the portabilization request of .Net Framework based programs.
   
   
   
7. Programs that require Java: it is allowed the portabilization request of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) based programs.
   
   
   
8. Request: requests must be reported in Portabilization requests" Forum section, in the same way of signallings submitted in "Software submission", by opening a new thread for each program. They must be made providing as much information as possible about the program, above all the licence under which it is released, and using the following scheme:
