Descrizione: (dal sito dell'Autore) CUETools is a tool for lossless audio/CUE sheet format conversion. The goal is to make sure the album image is preserved accurately. A lossless disc image must be lossless not only in preserving contents of the audio tracks, but also in preserving gaps and CUE sheet contents. Many applications lose vital information upon conversion, and don't support all possible CUE sheet styles. For example, foobar2000 loses disc pre-gap information when converting an album image, and doesn't support gaps appended (noncompliant) CUE sheets.

E' possibile convertire i files audio tra i diversi formati Lossless disponibili, convertire file immagine dei CD in tracce separate e viceversa, apportare la correzione del valore di offset, verificare i rip con il Database di Accuraterip, confrontare i CRCs dei files audio con il log di estrazione, ed operare sui files lossless con altre varie utilità.
CUETools da qualche versione comprende CUERipper (dello stesso Autore): (dal sito dell'Autore) CUERipper is an utility for extracting digital audio from CDs, an open-source alternative to EAC. It has a lot fewer configuration options, so is somewhat easier to use, and is included in CUETools package.
It supports MusicBrainz and freeDB metadata databases, AccurateRip and CTDB.
Portable tips how-to: Dal sito dell'Autore (not tested): Just unpack the archive to any folder; no setup required. CUETools.exe and CUERipper.exe are the main applications to run. If you want to run it as a portable application from a USB stick, remove the file called "user_profiles_enabled", so that settings will be saved to the same folder instead of user profile on your local computer.

This program requires latest versions of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (SP2) and Visual C++ 2008 runtime to run. If you are running Windows Vista or newer, and using Windows Update, these prerequisites are probably already installed. If not, you will need to download them first.
