  1. Ricerca: prima di segnalare l'aggiornamento di un software è necessario effettuare una ricerca nel sito per verificare che la segnalazione non sia già stata effettuata.


  2. Verifica della portatilità (solo per i Portable Software): poichè nel passaggio da una versione all'altra non è automatico che lo stesso programma continui ad essere portatile, chiunque segnali l'aggiornamento di un Portable Software è tenuto a testarne la portatilità e ad allegare i risultati del test (log regshot). Solo dopo il test potrà segnalare l'aggiornamento.


  3. Eccezioni: qualora non fosse possibile effettuare il test (software di grandi dimensioni, mancanza di adsl, carenza di tempo), è comunque possibile segnalare l'aggiornamento, ma in questo caso occorre specificare nel campo Test la dicitura [Non testato].


  4. Portable Software - segnalazione: dopo la ricerca e il test si può procedere alla segnalazione. Se sul forum è già presente un thread riguardante aggiornamenti precedenti del software in questione, NON bisogna aprire un nuovo thread, ma postare in coda al thread principale, anche se questo è situato nella sezione "Programmi portatili aggiornati" (il winPenPack Team si occuperà poi di spostarlo nella sezione "Programmi portatili da aggiornare"), utilizzando il seguente schema (vedi esempio segnalazione):

    TITOLO TOPIC:

    Aggiornamento: Nome del software



    CORPO MESSAGGIO:

    Nome del software ed ultima versione disponibile
    Link alla pagina download winPenPack

    Aggiornamento dalla versione xx alla versione xxx

    Home: link
    Direct Link: link
    Risultato test: [dicitura] (non testato, niente da segnalare, voci nel registro, etc..) ed eventuale log di regshot


  5. X-Software - segnalazione: dopo la ricerca (ma non il test, non necessario in questo caso) si può procedere alla segnalazione. Se è già presente un thread riguardante aggiornamenti precedenti del software in questione, NON bisogna aprire un nuovo thread, ma postare in coda al thread principale, anche se questo è situato nella sezione "Programmi portatili aggiornati" (il winPenPack Team si occuperà di spostarlo nella sezione corretta), utilizzando il seguente schema (vedi esempio segnalazione):

  1. Search first: before posting a software update announcement, a site search must be performed to check if the announcement has been already given.


  2. Portability check (only for Portable Softwares): as portability can be lost with version changes, anyone who wants to announce a Portable Software upgrade, must verify that portability still holds, attaching a Regshot log as test result. Announcement can be given only after the portability test.


  3. Exceptions: if a portability test cannot be performed (because of software large size, or broadband connection unavailability, or lack of time), announcement can be given anyway, provided that the Test field is filled with: [Not tested].


  4. Portable Software - announcement: the announcement can be given only after search (step 1) and test (step 2). If a thread already exists about previous updates of the software, the announcement must be posted as a reply on that thread, WITHOUT opening a new thread, even if it is located in "Updated portable software" section (the winPenPack Team will then move it in "Not yet updated portable software" section). The following template must be used (see also an announcement example):


    POST SUBJECT:

    Update: Software name



    POST BODY:

    Software name and last available version
    Link to winPenPack download page

    Update from version xx to version xxx

    Home: link

  5. X-Software - announcement: the announcement can be given only after search (step 1). Test is not requested in this case. If a thread already exists about previous updates of the software, the announcement must be posted as a reply on that thread, WITHOUT opening a new thread, even if it is located in "Updated portable software" section (the winPenPack Team will then move it in "Not yet updated portable software" section).
