X-Firefox 6.0 bugs(also on 3.6.xx. OS Windows xp sp3, vista 32bit and win7 64bit). when I try download some files save the folder D:\data\

After I closed X-firefox, then open again, I download other file, that can't remember my folder(D:\data).
only on default x-firefox install folder (C:\X-Firefox-6.0\)

I tested Install and other portable version, that can remember my location save.

hope fix it about x-firefox remember save location bugs. thanks.

first of all, this is NOT a bug, it's a feature
Then, if you installed X-Firefox under C:\X-Firefox-6.0\, the default Download folder is C:\X-Firefox-6.0\Downloads (and not C:\X-Firefox-6.0\); this is a feature because, if you use X-Firefox as it should be, i.e. as a portable program running from a pendrive, the best choice is to have a Downloads folder that does not depends on other disks or folders (that could not exist on the guest PC).
Anyway, if you absolutely need this feature, and you surely always run X-Firefox from C:\, you can easily edit the X-Firefox.ini file, search the line

browser.download.lastDir=$Download$|\\"

and modify it as follows

;browser.download.lastDir=$Download$|\\"

i.e. write ";" character at the start of the line (that comments out the line).

When in the future you will need to use your X-Firefox from a pendrive, just uncomment the same line, so it saves back all your downloads on the pendrive itself.
Hope this helps

Best Regards

I think that, in a few days (and after our release tests), both will be available, so be patient
