I just started with WinPenpack 2GB. I found the setting for language, and changed it from Italian to English. It worked - the submenues and the programs are now in English, but the main tray menu is still in Italian. What am I doing wrong? Sorry to be so stupid!!

Welcome to winPenPack, yetisouth!

Perhaps a problem in the language change because of the slowness of writing data (you made the language change in USB stick?). Open the winpenpack.xml file placed in \winPenPack\User\winpenpack_launcher folder with a text editor >> search the "language" field (at line 85) that should be:

<Language>english.xml</Language>

Maybe now it is:

<Language>italiano.xml</Language>

Thanks! I checked 'winpenpack.xml' - it is set to English, but the tray menu is still partly in Italian. Of course, this is not a big deal, I was just wondering what I was doing wrong.

Another thing: when I exit, then later start again, I get this error message every time:

I don't understand exactly what happens. Your program list is still in Italian?
If you have just downloaded the wpp_2gb and if you have not made any changes to the menu, you can remove the preexisting \winPenPack\User\winpenpack_launcher folder and replace it with a new one. You can take it from the original distribution.

--- edit ---

Your winpenpack.xml has the language set to English, but all voices are in Italian, I think. In this case, before following the previous suggestion, you can tray to rename the winpenpack.xml to winpenpack_old.xml and the other winpenpack_xx.xml (winpenpack_it.xml? winpenpack_en.xml?) to winpenpack.xml

Hi yetisouth,

I'm trying to have same behaviour You described.
On wich O.S. are You running wPP? (Vista, Seven or XP)

Actually I'm not able to have same issue on my XP SP3 Machine.

Anyway, If You can solve the problem using Danix suggestion, let us know!

Many thanks in advance for Your feedback and hope You will enjoy with wPP
