Why X-Firefox, X-Thunderbird and X-Sunbird don't start at first run?
X-Firefox, X-Thunderbird and X-Sunbird are portable versions obtained from original Mozilla Foundation programs, using a script file included in our distributions, the mozilla_builder. These X-Software packages are created starting from the unmodified binaries, directly downloaded from Mozilla.org, according to the "Mozilla Trademark Policy".

X-Firefox (and same behaviour for other 2 applications) contains the original Mozilla Firefox setup file, present in \Lib\Mozilla\Firefox\setup_XX\ folder. During X-Firefox first startup only, the original setup file is automatically executed in "silent mode", all program files are stored in already present (but previously empty) \Bin folder, moreover a correct .ini file is created. After these activities, the original setup file present in \Lib will be deleted.

Therefore, if these operations are performed directly on a flash drive, where data writing/reading are significantly slower than on a hard disk, it may takes some minutes before the program will be ready to use. However, this small issue happens only during first startup of these three applications. In fact, once the pseudo-installation is done, next time performances will be similar to all other programs.
