E perchè? In fondo si tratta solo di aspettare.

Si, ora è portabilizzabile! (la "concorrenza" -Link- lo ha già fatto, a partire dalla versione 2.0 che non era localizzata in italiano).
Veramente un ottimo "all in one".

@Danix: (oppure zandet2, ZioZione, o altri volontari capaci...)

You can find here a preliminary version of X-Seamonkey :

First TEST Version (15.506.846 Byte/14,8 Mo)

>> File rimosso causa bug grave nel launcher: utilizzando questa versione di sviluppo
viene eliminato irreversibilmente un eventuale profilo già esistente nel pc ospitante.<<

I put here a big Warning: as I'm not a regular user of Seamonkey, I haven't test it extensively before releasing it here.

Portabilisation notes:
- I based the X-Seamonkey structure more or less directly on the X-Firefox.ini.
As a side note it makes me think that it could be a good idea to add to X-Launcher the hability to have a kind of 'incude' directive that will allow to call a common ini configuration from pother ini files. E.g. in X-Semonkey.ini, I could write an entry like include=X-Mozilla.ini. But that's another story.

- I check in Mozilla Knowledge database to get some information, but basically what is true for Firefox is also true for Seamonkey.

- I would appreciate if a regular Seamonkey user send me back an extensive exemple of a registry entries.

- I thibk, it would be nice to include some FixDriveLetter directive for user preference as some plugins drop configuration information in a Path format. But at the moment, it fails on my computers (it's not so clear why, but I'm investigating it right now). I'm working a a new proposal for Fixdriveletter implementation that will maybe help.

- I would like to developp also a way to automatically at the install phase download and install localisation data (language files, dictionaries...). But at the moment I don't have so much time to do that. It would be quite intrusive in x-launcher source code I imagine, maybe we should add a kind of [Install] section with some corresponding directive.

Anyhow, hope it would help Seamonkey users...

Hi pir,
welcome back and thank you for this new portabilization. I trust that some SeaMonkey experts will let you know something...
It is a lot of time that we know SeaMonkey (years, if I remembre well...) but what restrained us to portabilize it, was the absence of an italian translation of the interface, and also for an easy way to perform it. Anyway, thank you!
Your suggestion about an "include" feature sounds quite interesting, but I think that it could be better formalized. In particular, it could be useful just for a little number of programs (i.e. Mozilla's and few else...), but also it could be clear what parts of the .ini file will be imported (surely, not the ones regarding the program itself, I suppose...). But this is (quite) another story...
Best Regards
ZioZione

Hi everyone, hi pir!

after a long test on field I can say your launcher is working like a charm!

The only issue I found is regarding installation of gmail manager extension. I'm not able to use it neither in X-seamonkey nor in Seamonkey installed version.
The extension seems to be properly installed, but I'm not able to see the icon in the right/lower corner as per X-firefox.

Anyway, this add-on has problems also on installed version, so I can suppose is not ir reference with the portable one.

EN: Any other feedback by other users?
IT: Nessun altro feedback da parte di altri utilizzatori?
