I tested x-firefox 3.22 and 6.02 found 2 bugs :

1.
I already rem or delete this following x-firefox.Ini (I already tested rem 1, 1+2, 1+2+3 lines, delete all 4 lines):
;(download directory)
;browser.download.lastDir=$Download$|\\"
;browser.download.dir=$Download$|\\"
browser.download.folderList=2

When I next time or restart firefox save location also on X-firefox folder (X-Firefox\download\) , that not remember my before save location (such as D:\temp)

2.
I used reminder fox plugin on x-firefox. I open the 'reminder fox plugin' window, but when I closed the X-firefox, 'reminder fox plugin' window not close.

Thanks. hope can Fix it 2 bugs.

Tested here few minutes ago. NO ISSUES AT ALL!!

Tested on: win7 pro 64 bit SP
X-Firefox version: 6.02

actions made:
1 ) Installed Reminderfox
2 ) closed X-Firefox
3 ) started again
4 ) Put some reminders in Reminderfox
5 ) Closed X-Firefox -> EVERYTHING shut-down properly

Impossible to reproduce Your problem.

Then, after CLOSING my X-Firefox
1 ) edited firefox.ini file (COPY/PASTE from my ini)
;(download directory)
;browser.download.lastDir=$Download$|\\"
;browser.download.dir=$Download$|\\"
;browser.download.folderList=2

(end COPY/PASTE)
2 ) started again X-Firefox
3 ) changed settings in "Options" -> "General" -> and pointed on "Always ask where to save download files" (or something like that... my X-Firefox is in italian! )
4 ) tested with different downloads. Program asks me each time where I want to save.
5 ) Closed X-Firefox
6 ) Tested DL feature again -> everything works as per my settings
7 ) changed setting in "Options" -> "General" -> and pointed on "Save files in.." and set my perdsonal path.
8 ) Tested DL again -> program saves correctly in my personal path
9 ) Closed X-Firefox
10) Tested DL feature again -> everything works as per my last settings

So, I'm not able al all to reproduce your "pseudo.bugs" !

Dlusera, are you sure to have X-firefox CLOSED when you edit firefox.ini?

tool--->reminderfox--->reminderfox(show the reminderfox windows)
3.

Basically there are two variants to arrange the download settings in Firefox.

  1. You can specify a folder, in which all files are saved

    In this case automativally will be saved all files in the predefined folder. With this settings you can't alter anything. Insofar it's impossible to change the download folder. Accordingly, Firefox cant remember a "last save" folder in this case.

  2. Each time ask where a file should be saved

    In this case you have the possibility to specify the download folder at every download. However, you will be asked again during the next download in which folder you want to save the file. Insofar it's impossible, that Firefox remember the "last save" folder.

For your problem with ReminderFox I can't give you an answer, because I don't use this extension.
