annoying dialog window at every start of X-Thunderbird

At every start of X-Thunderbird a dialog window named "System Integration" will opened. In this window will me offered the option, that I can choose Thunderbird as the default email program on my PC. Accordingly must I click on the button "Cancel" everytime. That's not really convinient I use the OS Windows 8.

As usual (I hope),x-thunderbird.ini file can be your friend!

have a look if under [USER PREFERENCES]
you have this line:

; Default Client
mail.shell.checkDefaultClient=false



if you already have this option (not commented), maybe we need to test X-thunderbird on Win8 system.

In the file X-Thunderbird.ini under [USER PREFERENCES] I found exactly the line, which you've mentioned in your comment. Accordingly is there an issue with the OS Windows 8.

OK, now the biggest problem is to find out a Windows 8 PC in our staff!
