Thank you for the offer of the package relating to the use of X-Tor in conjunction with X-Firefox 3. Now this version works fine.

Maybe a problem in Polipo configuration.
Is the field "Proxy Application Arguments" in "General" tab empty?

Unfortunately I could not understand exactly, in which "General" tab I should look at an empty field named "Proxy Application Arguments".

Otherwise, you can still user AdvOR -Link- and see if it fits your needs...

Thank you for the advice for use of the AdvOR. Of course I will also look at this solution in detail.

Vidalia main panel >> Settings >> General >> "Proxy Application Arguments":

Please, let me know if the field is empty, I would like to know why it doesn't work.
Anyway, you could use directly the new package that I provided.

Oddly, it sometimes happens that I get an access to the Internet and then again not during the use of X-Tor in conjunction with X-Firefox 3. For access to the Internet I use a router. Maybe I should forward the ports in the router, which uses the proxy server Polipo?

On the other hand, I have during the use of X-Tor in conjunction with X-Firefox 6 no problems. In this respect it seems the router does not be the cause for the lack of connection to the Internet.

  1. No access to the Internet

In this case the field "Proxy Application Arguments" is empty. Then I get the error message "Proxy-Server refuse the connection".

  2. Access to the Internet

In this case the field "Proxy Application Arguments" is not empty.

I also have a router, but I have not configured any ports.

  • Question 1: when the "Proxy Application Arguments" is not empty, you can navigate anonimously using Tor+Firefox 3?

  • Question 2: have you tried this package -Link- ?

  1. Answer to Question 1
Yes. In this case I can surf anonymously through the Internet during the use of X-Tor + X-Firefox 3. I check this with the URL -Link- and I get the positive answer "Congratulations. Your browser is configured to use Tor."

  2. Answer to Question 2
I also tried the package, which you have offered me. But also in this case it sometimes happens that I get an access to the Internet and then again not.
