[It] Permette di creare mappe mentali e di rappresentarle graficamente a struttura d'albero. Può esportare in formati diversi, tra i quali html, pdf, svg, xml, xhtml, jpg. E' possibile, utilizzando un'applet java, pubblicare le proprie mappe online. E' supportata la lingua italiana.

Credo che in questa ultima versione ci sia un bug quando si inserisce in un nodo un collegamento a un file locale, la formattazione del link inserisce uno slash davanti alla lettera del disco che impedisce l'apertura del file.

Ho testato la versione FreeMind-Windows-Installer-0.9.0_Beta_17-max su un sistema Win2K PRO e il problema si ripropone, su XP o VISTA non sono in grado di riprovare almeno per un paio di giorni perchè sono fuori sede.

ho letto che questa non è una "semplice" applicazione. Permette di fare cose importanti.

Esiste [ed è pure citata da wikipedia alla voce mappe mentali] una guida specifica per Freemind elaborata da una ricercatrice universitaria.
